What makes iago jealous

Given that up until this moment, Othello has acted in a noble manner, his rash behaviour with Desdemona contradicts his whole verse-speaking mannerism. Sneaking out with her tarnishes her reputation — everyone, even her father assumes the worst, so Iago chalks the relationship between the two to lust. He did this because he was so wildly jealous that he couldn't even notice the facts right in front of him.

He believed it so he looked hard enough to find something to support his argument. In Conclusion all these evils has the potential to be as bad as each other. Jealousy is the ultimate effect of getting swallowed by love. Othello by Williams Shakespeare is a play about a hero who gets fooled by jealousy and manipulation that it leads him to destroy his relationship with his wife and his most trusted friend.

Othello, a moor, is generally a calm person who has a role of a general over the Venetian army. He falls in love with Desdemona, the daughter of Brabantio, who feels pity for his dangerous stories and eventually falls in love with Othello as well.

All the women from the stories are irrelevant to how they make the men feel. This creates displeasure and makes them not want to be with them anymore.

The Duke looked at the Duchess as if she likes everything in the same way indiscriminately. Browning- In these stories all of them demonstrate Destructive Love in different fashions, all of them wanted control and could not get it. He lets it be known if it is proven true that Desdemona is being unfaithful, then he will do away with his jealousy and love for her.

While Iago continues to feed Othello lies about the relationship Desdemona and Cassio have, Desdemona and her beloved husband start to fall apart due to the tension that envy brings to the table.

Even from the beginning of the play, jealousy has a strong grasp on the characters in the tragedy. Iago is incredibly organized, mischievous and will stop at nothing to humiliate Cassio and his general. He makes Othello think Desdemona was cheating on him with Cassio. When really, Cassio was cheating with his mistress Biunca. How does he do this? Iago simply talks about Cassio casually cheating on his wife when Othello is eavesdropping. The misleading snake that is Iago, knew how to harm Cassio, Desdemona, and Othello all with one diabolical plan.

He is incredibly malicious, and intelligent. He knows that people see him as a very honest man. He takes full advantage of this title by deceiving the thoughts of the general public. He is the villainous mastermind that strikes from the sidelines. Iago is well aware that going head on with anyone will reveal his bitterness and result in failure.

Instead, he targets the mind of the people closest to him. Iago viewed himself as the most devoted soldier Othello had, alongside a deep friendship. While everyone around him is enraged and confused, Iago plays innocent. Iago uses his manipulative skills and his understanding of others perspectives to destroy others as well as fulfill his evil intentions.

Growth mindset is the belief that people can get smarter by working harder and practicing. Fixed mindset is the thought that talent and skills develop success without putting any effort.

Grit is determination to stick to one thing until you have mastered it. There are certain decisions that an individual makes that will impact grit. In Othello, Shakespeare intentionally made emotion a major flaw because it causes the characters to be easily manipulated and may cause the character to lose rational.

Shakespeare did this to show strong of an emotion jealously is. Because of jealousy Iago is able to manipulate every character he talks to, whether they were minor like Brabantio, the father of Desdemona, or a major character like Othello, the Moor, the General, and supposedly Hero. Shakespeare could have intentionally make jealously related to tragedy.

Iago suspected of Othello to have slept with his wife. Iago had sexual jealousy which cause him to suspect Othello to be one who had intercourse with Emilia. While Iago have to pretend and manipulate people to attract other characters. The jealousy would motivate Iago to devises schemes to get revenge to Othello. Iago had to manipulate many characters in his plan to finally get back at Othello.

Iago lost rational because of jealously, and all the actions he did was considered to be evil.
